Manuscript Submission Guidelines
General Guidelines
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (JPSR) accepts original research articles, review articles, case studies, and short communications in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
Before submitting a manuscript, please ensure:
- The manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere
- All authors have approved the manuscript and its submission
- The manuscript follows ethical guidelines for research
- The manuscript is formatted according to the journal's guidelines
Manuscript Format
File Format
Manuscripts should be submitted in DOC, DOCX, or PDF format.
Length
Original research and review articles should not exceed 5000 words excluding abstract, references, tables, and figure legends. Short communications should be limited to 2000 words.
Structure
Manuscripts should be structured as follows:
- Title Page: Title, authors, affiliations, corresponding author's email
- Abstract: Maximum 250 words, structured (Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion)
- Keywords: 4-6 keywords
- Introduction: Background and objectives of the study
- Materials and Methods: Detailed description of methods used
- Results: Clear presentation of findings
- Discussion: Interpretation of results and comparison with existing literature
- Conclusion: Summary of findings and implications
- Acknowledgments: Optional
- References: Follow the journal's citation style
- Tables and Figures: Each on a separate page
Citation Style
JPSR follows the Vancouver citation style. References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text.

Tables and Figures
- Tables should be numbered consecutively and cited in the text
- Each table should have a brief title and explanatory footnotes if necessary
- Figures should be numbered consecutively and cited in the text
- Figure legends should be concise but comprehensive
- Images should be high resolution (300 dpi or higher)
- All figures and tables must be original or have permission for reproduction
Ethical Considerations
- Research involving human subjects must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki
- Animal studies must comply with institutional and national guidelines
- Informed consent must be obtained for studies involving human subjects
- Ethical approval details should be stated in the manuscript
- Conflicts of interest must be disclosed
Author Guidelines for Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Generated Text
Authors submitting articles to the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (JPSR) are required to disclose the use of any artificial intelligence (AI) systems in the preparation of their manuscript. This includes, but is not limited to, AI-generated text, figures, images, tables, and code. Such use must be clearly acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section of the article. The specific AI tool or system employed should be identified, along with the sections of the manuscript where AI-generated content was used. Additionally, a brief description should be provided regarding the extent and nature of the AI system's contribution.
The use of AI tools solely for editing, grammar checking, or language enhancement is considered standard practice and does not typically fall within the scope of this policy. However, authors are encouraged to disclose such usage as a best practice.
Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo initial screening by the editorial team followed by double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers' comments.
The typical peer review process takes 4-6 weeks. Authors will be notified of the decision (accept, revise, or reject) along with reviewers' comments.
Publication Fees
JPSR charges a publication fee for accepted manuscripts. The fee structure is as follows:
- Original Research Articles: $375
- Review Articles: $375
- Short Communications: $100
